Bail Set for Murder Suspect in Willey Investigation

Bail has been set at 1-million dollars for the man accused of murdering a Sykeston couple Authorities say 28-year-old Aron Nichols has been linked to a gun that was used to kill Donald and Alice Willey at their home on April 7th Autopsies show the two had been shot before their house burned down A search of Nichols home and pickup in Fargo turned up a coat with fabric that may have been damaged by heat jars with a crystalline substance and gasoline and hand-written directions to the Willey home along with pictures showing the layout of their home Nichols is linked to Willeys through his girlfriend Tamara Sorenson who had a daughter with the Willey s son He died in 2002 in a medical helicopter crash The daughter who is now 7-years-old was awarded 2-million dollars in a lawsuit filed against the helicopter manufacturer Sorenson and the Willeys had also been fighting over custody of the child Court papers say Nichols had made comments to a co-worker about killing some of his girlfriend s relatives A preliminary hearing for Nichols has been set for May 31st in Fessenden
