Derailment Lawsuit To Pay One Thousand Dollars Each

People included in the class action lawsuit against Canadian Pacific Railway in connection with the deadly derailment west of Minot in 2002 will get about one thousand dollars each US District judge Dan Hovland gave final approval to the seven million dollar lawsuit last month About four thousand people have now submitted claims and the task at hand is to go through that list of people and make sure everyone is eligible The four thousand people will share four-point-one million of the seven million dollar lawsuit with the rest going to attorneys in the case It isn t known how long it will take to go through that list of people but lead attorney in the case Mike Miller estimates it will be in January when people get their checks
