CertifiChecks Update

Many gift certificates issued through the CertifiCheck program in the Ludington and Scottville areas aren t much use right now due to the bankruptcy of the Ohio-based company that issues the certificates In an update to a story we first brought you a few weeks ago here on Local Edition the Ludington and Scottville Chamber of Commerce has been hard at work investigating the CertifiCheck situation and they re working to resolve the issue The Chamber has spoken with the Michigan State Attorney General s office which has worked with the Ohio Attorney General s office to file a law suit against the CertifiCheck company In the mean time the Local Chamber is looking into other buy local gift card programs The Chamber plans to keep the community informed with the latest on the CertifiCheck situation the organization said that they d like to thank the community for its patience and understanding about this unfortunate situation
